Ebola cases in Kenya rise to eight
Kenyan authorities said a newly confirmed Ebola infection had brought the country's total number of cases to eight.

Reuters reported early on Monday, October 19, that Kenyan health officials had announced the figure to local media the previous day.
According to the report, officials said 38 people were tested on Sunday, with one testing positive for Ebola.
The newly infected person was reportedly an attendant of a patient who had been cleaning dishes and bed linen.
Meanwhile, Kenya is on full alert as a widespread Ebola outbreak centred in Congo has crossed borders and spread across the region.
Congo confirmed on Sunday that the outbreak had reached an eighth province in the country, heightening concerns about further spread across the region.
