Trump described Netanyahu as a “great warrior prime minister” in a post on Truth Social tonight (Sunday, 26 Mizan), saying he had been a “great partner” in the fight against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Trump added that he had watched Netanyahu through the most difficult times and that he had not only held firm but grown stronger. “And that is the kind of partner America expects from Israel, a country for which America has done so much.”

The U.S. president also referred to the war with Iran, saying: “This country has been systematically destroyed, both militarily and financially, and if it does not quickly change its ways, we will soon finish it off.”

Trump warned, however, that if Israelis chose the wrong leader — someone other than Netanyahu — he would finish off Iran alone, although he did not want to do so.

Trump said Netanyahu had withstood opposition even from within Israel, telling Israelis: “He will never let you down.”

Israel’s parliamentary election is scheduled for the 27th of the current calendar month. Trump’s endorsement comes as the latest polls show Netanyahu’s Likud party trailing the Yashar party, led by former Israeli military chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot.
